It appears that the Calgary Flames have completed the final item on their pending unrestricted free agent to-do list prior to the 2024 trade deadline. Per multiple reports, the Flames have dealt blueliner Noah Hanifin for the Vegas Golden Knights. The Flames are said to be receiving a conditional 2025 first-round draft pick, a conditional 2024 third-round pick, and defenceman Daniil Miromanov.

So here&#8217;s the full trade:

Here are the conditions, via the Flames:

Hanifin, 27, is in the final year of a six-year deal he signed with the Flames after being acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes at the 2018 NHL Draft. He&#8217;s suited up for 420 regular season games with the Flames, playing almost exclusively in their top two defensive pairings and both sides of special teams, and accumulating 42 goals and 191 points during his tenure. This season he has 11 goals and 35 points in 61 games with the Flames.
Hanifin hasn&#8217;t been an elite defender during his time with the Flames, but he was really, really consistent and effective for the club during his run. When you consider he was on an incredibly team-friendly deal with a $4.95 million cap hit, he provided exceptional value given how much he played, how well he played, and his situational versatility. He joins a pretty stacked Golden Knights team that literally just won the Stanley Cup last June and remain hungry for more.
Miromanov, 26, was an undrafted Russian prospect who&#8217;s slated to become a Group VI free agent this summer. He&#8217;s a winger who was converted into a defenceman over the past few years. He&#8217;s missed a bit of time over the past few years due to injury, but he&#8217;s split time between Vegas and their AHL affiliate in Henderson for each of the past three seasons. He&#8217;s a right shot player listed at 6&#8217;4&#8243;, 205 pounds and carries a $762,500 cap hit this season. He has zero points in 4 NHL games and 6 points in 5 AHL games this season.
