The Pacific Division is fun this season.
A new leader in the Pacific Division has emerged, as the Edmonton Oilers have a 32-15-3 record with 67 points. The Vegas Golden Knights have an equal number of points with a 31-15-5 record but have played an extra game. Third in the Pacific Division are the Los Angeles Kings, who have a 26-15-6 record with 58 points in 47 games played.
The Calgary Flames are within striking distance of the Kings, as they have a 24-18-7 record with 55 points in 49 games. However, the Canucks are just a point behind the Flames with a 22-17-10 record.
Of course, you have the bottom feeders of the Pacific Division. In sixth is the Anaheim Ducks, who have a 21-23-6 record with 48 points. The Seattle Kraken have a 22-27-3 record with 47 points and the San Jose Sharks have a 15-33-6 record with 36 points.

Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks took the sixth spot in the Pacific Division thanks to a successful 3-0 week, with a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, a 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators, and a 6-4 win over the Seattle Kraken.
Leading the team in both goals and points is Troy Terry, who has 16 goals and 39 points in 46 games. Ryan Strome is second on the team with 29 points, while Frank Vatrano has 14 goals and 28 points. Mason McTavish and Alexander Killorn each have double-digit goals as well. In net, John Gibson is having a good season as he has a .914 save percentage and a 2.71 goals against average in 21 games played. Lukáš Dostál has a .908 save percentage and a 2.96 goals against average in 30 games played.
This week, the Ducks travel to Calgary to play the Flames on Thursday, before returning home to host the Montréal Canadiens and Dallas Stars.

Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames had a chance to gain some separation from the Vancouver Canucks and St. Louis Blues thanks to a 5-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres and a 5-4 win against the Minnesota Wild. After the win against the Wild, they briefly had a five-point lead on the Vancouver Canucks, but a 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets and a 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals have them only one point clear of their Canadian rival.
Jonathan Huberdeau is having his best season as a Flame, scoring 19 goals and 36 points in 49 games. Not far behind him in both categories is Nazem Kadri, who has 17 goals and 34 points. Blake Coleman, Matt Coronato, Connor Zary, and Mikael Backlund each have double-digit goals. In net, Dustin Wolf has a .915 save percentage and a 2.56 goals against average and should be their primary starter for the rest of the season.
This week, the Flames host the Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings, before a one-game road trip to Seattle to face the Kraken. They’ll host the Toronto Maple Leafs next Tuesday as well.

Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers are rolling, as they had an undefeated 3-0-0 week. First up was a 6-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in a grudge match. They followed that up with a pair of close victories against the Buffalo Sabres and Seattle Kraken to take the lead in the Pacific Division.
Leon Draisaitl is a front-runner for the Hart Memorial Trophy, as he has a league-leading 35 goals and a team-leading 75 points. Connor McDavid has missed six games this season but has 21 goals and 66 points in 44 games. Defenceman Evan Bouchard has eight goals and 37 points. In net, Stuart Skinner has a .902 save percentage and a 2.69 goals against average in 33 games played.
This week, the Oilers host the Detroit Red Wings, before another grudge match, this time against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. They’ll hit the road after, facing the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

Los Angeles Kings

The Los Angeles Kings haven’t had the best month, nor week, as they went 1-1-1 with a win over the Florida Panthers, a 3-2 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and a 5-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
Adrian Kempe leads the team in goals and points, potting 24 goals and 44 points. Not far behind him is captain Anže Kopitar, who has 12 goals and 43 points, while Kevin Fiala has 15 goals and 29 points. Other double-digit goal scorers on the team are Alex Laffiere, Warren Foegele, and Quinton Byfield. In net, Darcy Kuemper has a .919 save percentage and a 2.13 goals against average while former Calgary Flame David Rittich has an .886 save percentage and a 2.60 goals against average.
This week, the Kings have a back-to-back, facing the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning in the state of Florida. They’ll finish up their road trip against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday.

San Jose Sharks

It wasn’t a great week for the San Jose Sharks, who fell 6-5 to the Nashville Predators and 7-2 to the Florida Panthers, before defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 to go 1-2-0 for the week.
As he’s done throughout the season, Mikael Granlund leads the team with 44 points, while his 15 goals have him in third. Leading the team is former Flame Tyler Toffoli with 17 goals, while rookie Macklin Celebrini has 16 goals. William Eklund, Fabian Zetterlund, and Luke Kunin each have double-digit goals. In net, Yaroslav Askarov has a .905 save percentage and a 2.87 goals against average in 12 games played.
It’s a light week for the Sharks, as they head to Seattle to face the Seattle Kraken before returning to host the Montréal Canadiens.

Seattle Kraken

Speaking of the Kraken, it wasn’t a great week for the newest expansion team. They defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 but fell to the Washington Capitals, Edmonton Oilers, and Anaheim Ducks. Oof.
Jared McCann leads the team with 39 points along with 14 goals, tied with Oliver Bjorkstrand and Eeli Tolvanen in that department. Leading the team in goals is Jaden Schwartz who has 17, while Matt Beniers and defenceman Vince Dunn each are in the double-digit range. In net, Joey Daccord has a .917 save percentage and a 2.41 goals against average, while Philipp Grubauer was waived on Wednesday.
The Kraken continue their home stand this week, hosting the San Jose Sharks, Calgary Flames, and Detroit Red Wings.

Vancouver Canucks

It was a solid week for the Vancouver Canucks, as they fell 6-2 to the Edmonton Oilers, but defeated the Washington Capitals 2-1 and the St. Louis Blues 5-2.
Quinn Hughes is undisputedly the defenceman in the league, as he has 14 goals and 56 points in 45 games this season. Leading the goal department is Jake DeBrusk with 17, while Brock Boeser has 16. Other double-digit goal scorers include Conor Garland, Elias Pettersson, Pius Suter, and Kiefer Sherwood. In net, Thatcher Demko has an .867 save percentage and a 3.47 goals against average. Kevin Lankinen should start the majority of games, as he has a .906 save percentage and a 2.56 goals against average.
The Canucks continue their road trip, facing the Nashville Predators on Wednesday and the Dallas Stars on Friday. They return home to host the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche.

Vegas Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights stopped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the St. Louis Blues but fell 4-3 to the Dallas Stars twice this week (once in overtime). They also defeated the reigning Stanley Cup champions 4-1.
With 16 goals and 64 points, Jack Eichel leads the team in the latter category. Pavel Dorofeyev leads the team with 22 goals, while Mark Stone, Tomáš Hertl, Ivan Barbashev, Brett Howden, Victor Olofsson, and Keegan Kolesar each have double-digit goals. In net, Adin Hill has a .901 save percentage and a 2.65 goals against average, while Ilya Samsonov has an .898 save percentage and a 2.78 goals against average in 19 games played.
This week, the Golden Knights host the Columbus Blue Jackets, before heading on a New York Metropolitan road trip that will see them face the New York Rangers and Islanders this week.
